Hotel "Dushanbe" is one of the first many-storeyed buildings in city. Architects Aizikovich G.Y, Sheluhin V.P. Engineers Lazarev G.P., Gossvendt V.I. Construction of the hotel “Dushanbe” has started in 1961 and put in operation in 1964.
In order evaluate achievements of architects and builders it is necessary to remember that Dushanbe as well as many other cities and republic villages is located in area where strong earthquakes are possible. The hotel is equipped by all necessary. After recent reconstruction it has got the status of four-stars hotel. Except comfortable rooms there is a restaurant, cafe, a bar, buffets, a hairdressing salon, shoe repair shops and clothes. There is hotel and something such that it is possible to see only in Central Asia, - in a courtyard among trees houses - small reservoirs that in the summer to soften a heat are built.

From hotel, it is possible to reach Railway station by walking in 3-5 minutes (650 m). Any place of city from hotel can be reached by taxis and public transports.
